The purchase of dental equipment and software to establish a dental surgery in Toome.
After seven years experience working in dentist practices in Scotland and Northern Ireland Bronagh Madden, a fully qualified Dentist decided to take a seat in her very own Dentist chair and set up a dental practice situated in Toome House, Toomebridge. Bronagh was well aware of the increase in demand for dental care, mainly due to the ever increasing population, but also due to the popularity of teeth restoration, cosmetic procedures and also through the promotion of dental healthcare and preventative care.
Placing her own advertisement in the local newspaper to gauge interest in the new practice she was overwhelmed by the response. She received 228 individual enquiries from the newspaper advertisement alongside email and phone enquiries and support from businesses in the area. Bronagh purchased dental equipment and software and opened her dental surgery doors in August 2011, sharing its location with the Doctors surgery and pharmacy. The Centre is also open to both Private and NHS health care making affordable dentistry available to the adults and children in Toome and the surrounding area.
The Dental Centre offers a full range of general dentistry services including restorative work and cosmetic dental treatment such as teeth whitening, veneers and crowns, and prides herself in offering a service to educate children and young adults on prevention of tooth decay.
