Upgrade to the marina building at Ballyronan to cater for visitors to the marina.
TABBDA (Traad & Ballyronan Ballinderry Development Association) was established as a community /voluntary organisation serving the Ballinderry/Ballyronan areas. It has access to a community resource centre in Ballyronan adjacent to the marina on the Lough Neagh shoreline which consists of meeting rooms, restaurant, and workspace units and also houses a preschool. Additional visitor/tourist amenities have been added to the marina which now includes a 22 pitch caravan / camping park and berths for 72 boats. Children’s outdoor play facilities including a play park and football pitch are also available. The marina also has a small beach area. TABBDA also use the marina building to cater for visitors to the marina.
Funded under Axis 3 through SWARD, the building upgrade included new heating and ventilation system and windows for the benefit of visitors to the facility and marina area.
