Installation of permanent electricity supply to make Slieve Croob Flying Club site suitable for commercial use as well as tarmacing entrance and roadway into the club.
Slieve Croob Flying Club was established in 2010 and is a popular site with both club members and visitors from across Ireland and the UK. However, the club had limited potential for expansion due to the limitations of the site, particularly the fact that they used a generator to supply electricity. The project established a permanent electricity supply – allowing them to provide more services to visitors and members – and also tarmacked the runway and driveway to the club, improving safety for planes and visitors.
Funding from DRAP enabled the applicant to install a permanent electricity supply and tarmac the entrance to the club.
