Mrs Ervine owns and runs a beef, sheep and grain farm in Dromara and recognised a need to diversify to offer increased sustainability. Built in 1840 and originally a Porter’s Lodge, The Gate Lodge at Scion Hill is situated at the top of a leafy avenue to a Gentleman’s Residence. The property fell into disrepair until Esther Ervine lovingly restored the listed building and re-launched it offering five-star luxury self-catering accommodation.
