The building and purchase of a rigid inflatable boat offering Redbay Powerboating the opportunity to offer a service not currently available in Northern Ireland.
Redbay Powerboating is based in Redbay, Co. Antrim and the owner, Mr Stewart, runs a RIB Training business in the area which is recognised by the RYA up to advanced powerboat level.
Funded under Axis 3, through North East Region, the project enabled the building and purchase of a rigid inflatable boat capable of carrying four passengers and two crew in order to offer facilities not presently available in NI. Mr Stewart also plans to open a second operating base in Glenarm Marina to offer a commercial tourism operation offering mainly training and educational trips.
Training service is offered in a state of the art, purpose built specialised boat. The additional operating base increased the number of shore based courses on offer.
