The appointment of a consultant to undertake a feasibility study to assess the viability and capital costs involved in developing a Visitor and Activity Centre in Portaferry.
In 2013 the Portaferry Sailing Club’s Committee met to discuss potential projects, identifying a vacant lot beside the Club house that could be put to excellent use as a Visitor and Activity Centre. They applied for funding to DRAP to appoint a consultant to undertake a feasibility study to assess the viability and capital costs involved in such a project.
Funding from DRAP allowed the applicant to appoint a specialist and commission a feasibility study.
