The promoter is a diary farmer who applied to Lagan Rural Partnership for grant assistance to install a wind turbine on their farmland. The project is intended to create a new and sustainable income from the sale of renewable energy to the NIE grid and reduce the farm's carbon footprint.
The project is environmentally friendly as the promoter will be in a position to drastically reduce their carbon footprint.
