The upgrade of kitchen facilities at Lisnamulligan Hall.
Lisnamulligan Rural Association was founded in 2005. At time of application to SOAR their building had a large main hall (with stage), kitchen and small meeting room. The hall was available for hire to all sectors of the community however the group hoped that improved kitchen facilities would make the hall more suitable for use by both the current organisation and any other group who wish to hire the facilities. At time of assessment the applicant had stated that when functions were held in the hall catering is sourced from Spar in Rathfriland (2 miles away) and is transported in a volunteers van. This was entirely unsatisfactory and caused problem with food quality, temperature and co-ordination.
With the upgrade of the kitchen facilities, Lisnamulligan Rural Association hope to commence a luncheon club for the senior citizens of the area. Without the upgrade of the kitchen facilities the association are unable to cater for large numbers of people at any one time.
To upgrade kitchen facilities at Lisnamulligan Hall in order to carry out activities to meet the needs of the rural community. Objectives
