The purchase of equipment, bespoke training and marketing to develop a local steelworks business.
Funded under Axis 3, through SWARD, the project involved the purchase of plasma cutter to precision cut galvanised steel so that manhole covers could be made that fully meet customer specification in terms of measurement and certified strength. Many such covers are required to carry 18 tonnes. The project also involved training for the machine operator and a marketing campaign.
