The purchase of equipment to enhance efficiency of an engineering works, through reducing labour costs and increasing competitiveness.
David Gill has 20 years experience in engineering, with the last 5 years running his own business. At present, the business has 3 CNC machines, with customers based in Agriculture, marine, construction and manufacturing sectors. They export a significant element of their work to South of Ireland.
Funded under Axis 3, through SWARD, the project funded a fully automated CNC machine.
The new machine allows the set up of long running jobs that do not need to be manned constantly, thus reducing the labour costs and make the business more competitive. One full time job was created.
