The completion of a recreational scoping study of the Maze/Long Kesh site to establish sustainable multi-use recreational trails that are accessible to the local population and visitors to the site.
The Network was established in 1999, it is charged with the strategic development, management and promotion of outdoor recreation across Northern Ireland. CAAN's product development work has led to over 50 new outdoor recreation facilities providing walking trails, canoe trails, coastal canoe trails, off road horse riding trails, cross country mountain biking trails, off road family cycling trails, ability trails and ecotrails.
