Reburbishment works at a vacant unit in the Torrent Complex to provide BEAM with additional floor space and capability to produce further community arts initiatives.
BEAM (Bardic Educational Arts & Media Ltd) Creative Network is a social enterprise which uses various mediums within the arts such drama, story-telling, scriptwriting, creative media, film, music, art and dance to explore various themes such as Anti-Bullying, Conflict Resolution, Anti-Social Behaviour, Inclusion, Celebrating Cultures, Environmental Issues and many more. BEAM employs freelance drama facilitators to produce and deliver community arts and learning projects under the above themes. These productions require a significant amount of preparation and rehearsal time to develop. The promoter indicated that in order to facilitate future planned services, a larger floor space would be needed.
Funded by Axis 3 through SWARD BEAM were able to fit out a vacant unit within the Torrent Complex in Donaghmore for freelance facilitators employed by BEAM to use to produce community arts projects and films.
