To redevelop and modernise the Aughlisnafinn community facility, bringing it back into the centre of community life.
Finn Hall was built in 1998 by Aughlisnafin Community Association using Millennium Funding acquired from the Rural Community Network and the Lottery. Since it was opened the hall has seen intensive, daily use from the local community and experienced unavoidable wear and tear as a result. The deterioration had left the building unsuited for the heavy use it gets, and also unsafe for the residents who used it. With no other facilities available in the very rural area, the Aughlisnafin Community Association made renovating and improving the Hall, making it a high-class facility, a priority.
Funding from DRAP enabled the Aughlisnafin Community Association to repair, improve and modernise Finn Hall, including creating a new kitchen area, resurfacing the grounds surrounding the Hall and bringing the interior of the building up to code.
