To provide a suitable fully equipped centre which will provide referral services to veterinary practices in Northern Ireland.
Chris Heffron is a veterinary surgeon based at Cromlyn House Veterinary Clinic - the applicant is involved in developing a veterinary hospital since the clinics foundation in 1983. Sick and injured animals are referred to the specialist centre. These centres are now commonplace throughout the EU, however, there are no such centres in Northern Ireland. The applicant received funding to develop NI's first veterinary referral centre.
This project aims to create 5 full time posts of employment through the development of a new niche service.
