Policy to Practice

The Rural Network will support the implementation of the Rural Needs (Northern Ireland) Act 2016 through the development of revised guidance and training on rural proofing and new monitoring arrangements. It will identify and share examples of best practice and raise awareness across government and rural stakeholders of the need to rural proof.

The Network will champion rural needs by considering evidence on the social and economic needs of people in rural areas, developing relationships with stakeholders and government and representing views of rural communities to government.
