Consultation on Draft Tourism Strategy for NI Published

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI) has published a consultation document on a Draft Tourism Strategy for Northern Ireland to 2020 and as part of the consultation process have organised Strategy Roadshows.

The aim of the Draft Tourism Strategy is to provide a clear and inspiring vision for the development of Northern Ireland's tourism experience through to the year 2020. The consultation document includes an Action Plan which sets out how the draft Strategy will be delivered.

The consultation document (along with a supporting evidence document) can be viewed or downloaded on the DETI website: www.detini.gov.uk under 'Consultations'.

Closing date for responses is 20 May 2010.

Strategy Roadshows have been organised to give consultees an opportunity to participate in round table discussions on the key issues and provide feedback on the Strategy. Roadshow details are as follows:

Tuesday 13 April - Rosspark Hotel, Ballymena

Thursday 15 April - Manor House Hotel, Enniskillen

Tuesday 20 April - Ramada Hotel, Shaws Bridge, Belfast

Tuesday 27 April - Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh

Thursday 29th April - Best Western White Horse Hotel, Londonderry

Wednesday 5th May - Armagh City Hotel, Armagh.
