RDC Chief Executive to present at Croatian Conference

The Regional conference, which will take place in Zagreb on November 17th, will focus on the 'Status and the Role of Women in Rural Areas'

Oganised in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Republic of Croatia the main objective pf the event is to analyse the situation of the role of women in rural areas in Western Balkan countries and Turkey and to present the experience of EU Member States in this area. It also aims to introduce to a wider public the following topics: 1. Education of women in rural areas 2. Development of employment possibilities for women in rural areas 3. The role of woman in rural tourism 4. Improvement of social services and health care in rural areas RDC Chief Executive Martin McDonald has been invited to speak on "Rural Childcare An analysis of its importance to the social and economic future of women in rural areas".
