Leader Post 2013 International Conference

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland along with a number of other co organizers, including ELARD, will be hosting an international conference on "LEADER Approach after 2013" in Koszęcin (Śląskie Voivodship), Poland.

This international conference will bring together experts from different countries and institutions dealing with the Leader approach. The event will offer an opportunity to exchange their experiences in the implementation as well as discuss Leader with a view on future challenges for rural areas.

The objectives of this event are:

  1. Summing up hitherto results of the LEADER approach implementation in the EU: models, lessons learnt, good and bad practices.
  2. Working out assumptions for the main support objectives and areas within the LEADER approach and the method of added value obtaining (an attempt to answer the question: How the LEADER approach can contribute to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth for Europe 2020) - preparation of concrete recommendations.
  3. Working out specific suggestions for a model system for the LEADER approach implementation in the context of legal framework preparation for the future 2014-2020 programming period.
