EU Commission Rep visits NIRDP Funded Projects

European Commission representative visits three projects funded through the NIRDP.

European Commission Desk Officer Petr Jelinek has been on site at three projects funded through the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme.

Mr Jelinek firstly visited two projects in Co. Down which were funded through the Down Rural Area Partnership Local Action Group. At Moira Equestrian Centre he saw at first hand one of the many diversification ventures being undertaken by Farm Families and then went on site at Agnew General Engineering Limited in Laurencetown which has been enabled through the NIRDP to invest in machinery to support its growth.

In Co. Tyrone he enjoyed the blissful rural setting of the Lavender Health Spa which was funded through SWARD Local Action Group.
