Meet the Network Team
Those who are involved in delivery of the work priorities for the Rural Network for NI are:
Teresa Canavan tcanavan@rdc.org.uk
Teresa has over 9 years working at Senior Management level and 4 years as Deputy Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Council (RDC). Teresa has experience in the management, co-ordination and implementation of EU Peace II and International Fund for Ireland programmes and implementation of a range of measures. Teresa has working knowledge of community and voluntary sector including contacts with local providers and other stakeholders involved in the regeneration of communities and a thorough working knowledge of the axes, measures and structures of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme.

Tracey’s role is the ongoing Co-ordination of the Network. She has over 13 years experience of the voluntary and community sector, 11 of which have been focusing on rural regeneration. Tracey was previously employed within RDC as the Operations Director managing the Local Regeneration, IFI and Peace Programmes, and previously worked as an RDC Project Officer. A graduate in Community Youth Work, she holds an MSc in Education and Contemporary Society, and is actively involved in rural development at a local level. Tracey is currently on maternity leave.

Eamon has over 14 years experience of community development, rural development and community engagement. As Project Officer, his current role has included delivery of training and support to LAGs, with a specific focus on Transnational Co-operation. Eamon holds a BA(Hons) in Business Studies with specialism in Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

Aileen’s role focuses on Information Exchange, Communication and Best Practice. Having been employed as RDC Communications Officer since 2004 Aileen has a wide experience of content management of publications; administering web-based communications and event management. Aileen holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Communication Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development.

Joyce is involved with Information Exchange, Communication and Co-ordination of Training. She has been employed with the RDC for 12 years and has broad experience of project delivery, communications and event management. She has a degree in Business Studies, Postgraduate Diploma in Administration and Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development.

As Network Administrator Kerry manages the administrative systems for the Network. She provides support to all the team in terms of information exchange, membership administration, training delivery and event management. She has worked in the RDC since January 2008 and was previously employed as RDC Grants Officer. Kerry holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accountancy. Kerry is currently on maternity leave.
